Date of Posting

I haven't updated the blog in a while and wanted to post an update.  I also wanted to let you know if you have anything you think would be a good topic, email me at bph@halldental.com and I'll see what I can do.

First, I was out the week before last for a church conference at Northpoint Community Church in Alpharetta, Ga called Drive '08.  There was a ton of good information for church leaders but what really got me about my dental practice was how Andy Stanley's leadership information could be applied to the dental office.  He made a big point about an organization's VISION and how organizations can drift from it.  In a future blog I am going to post our vision.  We currently have a great mission statement that's available elsewhere on our site that really sums up our office but I do want a vision for where I want to take our office in the future.

Next, I think I should do a CEREC update since I've mentioned it so many times before and it really has changed the way our practice functions.  We are approaching 40 CEREC onlays placed and have had no failures.  Joan and I went to a course in Atlanta hosted by Patterson Dental and it was awesome.  We learned a lot about the machine and how to use it even more efficiently and to make more beautiful restorations.  We will probably be investing in a porcelain oven so we can custom shade the tougher restorations and to do front teeth crowns and veneers.  Overall, I couldn't be happier and I appreciate all of the patients that have let us try this new technology on them.

Lastly, I want to thank all my patients who have made my practice so much fun to go to every day.  We had a staff meeting last Tuesday and looking around the room it's amazing the passion my staff has for dentistry and for caring for our patients.  I am truly blessed.
