Title : What is a ReExam?
Content :

Many patients ask what is a ReExam and why do they need to do it and here is the answer:

The ReExam is essentially the same as a New Patient Exam.

We schedule ReExam's every 5-7 years depending on the patient history.

ReExams consist of:

an interview about what the patient's concerns, dental history and current home care routine.

a cancer screening (which we do at every hygiene appointment).

a joint/jaw/muscle exam, an occlusal or teeth position/relation check including evaluation of tooth wear.

charting of existing conditions/restorations, and a complete check of the teeth, gums and bones that support the teeth.

We also work very hard to prevent future problems by discussing any changes that can be made in home care routines.
