Acid Erosion Reconstruction
Here is an 80+ year old patient who has severe acid erosion for many years who wanted to enhance a smile she didn't like.

Notice teeth that were crowned years ago are not worn and eroded.

This patient originally decided to just do the upper teeth, even though we recommended the uppers and lowers for optimal esthetics and function

Here are the upper provisional (plastic) crowns

Here are the upper and lower provisionals

Here are the final crowns cemented permanently. Notice how they don't match the old crowns. This was patient preference because when she smiles, she shows very few back teeth. This is also the reason we always do a bleaching evaluation before placing new crowns.
