Bio of Dr. Hall

Dr. Hall was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, where he currently practices general dentistry. He graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1986. He attended the University of Georgia and has been a lifelong Bulldog fan. He received his dental degree (D.M.D) at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1993. He met his incredible wife, Jill Boyd from Loganville, in Athens and they married in 1991. They currently have six children. The older four boys are Matthew, Alec, Charlie, and Reece. The girls are Jillian and Natalie Kate. They currently reside in Oak Grove subdivision (www.oakgroveathens.com) and love it. They consider it as close to living in Mayberry as possible in Athens.

Dr. Hall joined his father, Dr. James D. Hall, in his dental practice in 1993 until his father’s retirement several years later. The elder Dr. Hall was integral to the ethical and technical development of his son’s practice habits. He also made it possible for Dr. Hall to attend the L. D. Pankey Institute (www.pankey.org) in Key Biscayne, Florida for six straight years completing all six continuums. These continuums have greatly helped Dr. Hall develop a comprehensive approach to restoring patient’s mouths and have helped him develop his practice into a great place to work and be a patient.

Dr. Hall and his family attend Athens Church (www.athenschurch.com), where they are actively involved in developing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Dr. Hall has also been a member of Athens Rotary Club (www.athensrotary.com) for over ten years and has a heart for giving back to his community. He has also been the dental chair on the United Way of Northeast Georgia cabinet for several years encouraging local dentists to give back to their community. Dr. Hall volunteers and currently is on the board of the Mercy Healthcare Center (www.mercyhealthcenter.net).

Dr. Hall has been very active in local, regional and state dental activities as well. He is past president of the Clarke County Dental Society (CCDS) and the Eastern District Dental Society (EDDS). He is on the Georgia Dental Holding Company board, which oversees the operation of the GDA building. He is past GDA Annual Meeting president and is a GDA Honorable Fellow. Dr. Hall currently serves as co-chair of the legislative chair for his district and is active in participating in legislative activities that protect dentistry and keep Georgia’s patients receiving the best, safest care possible.
