The Procedure for Porcelain Veneers

A small amount of enamel from the front surface of the teeth receiving the veneers will be removed. This is usually done under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. The amount of enamel removed is typically very minimal, approximately equal to the thickness of the veneers.  

Once the teeth are prepared, impressions of your teeth will be taken. These impressions will serve as a model to create your custom-made veneers. The impressions are sent to a dental laboratory where skilled technicians will use them to fabricate your veneers to match the desired shape, size, and color.  

Once your permanent veneers are ready, you will return to the dental office for the bonding procedure. The dentist will carefully place the veneers on your teeth to check their fit and appearance. Adjustments can be made at this stage to ensure a proper fit and optimal aesthetics. The veneers will then be permanently bonded to the teeth using dental adhesive or resin cement.
